Water Conservation

Reclaim It. Keep It Pure

Three of America’s critical river systems – the Missouri, Columbia, and Colorado – all have origins in Greater Yellowstone. Together, they nourish the land, provide vital habitat for native fish, birds, and wildlife, and deliver water to 55 million Americans downstream. Rivers, streams, and lakes are the lifeblood of Greater Yellowstone. Life cannot exist without water, making it our most important natural resource.

At TJD Web Solutions we utilize water recovery and filtration in all of our hydroponic facilities and system designs.

Our local leaders are facing the pressing question of how to ensure a clean, reliable water supply with strains from population growth, booming development, and global warming. Many communities are already enforcing water restrictions. There are a few simple things you can do at home to ease the burden on your local water supply and save money in the process.

10 Ways To Save Water At Home

Green Energy

Renewable and Sustainable

Solar Power, Wind Power, Hydro Power, Geothermal Power and bio-gas such as methane are all types of green energy. We promote and utilize all of these forms of energy.

We do not support the use of ethanol until we have fed our people. The "Corn For Gas scenario does nothing to contribute to the postive side of bio-fuels but instead drives up food prices and the availabilty of land to grow food.

Soil Conservation

Stop The Erosion

Soil Conservation is a combination of practices used to protect the soil from degradation. First and foremost, soil conservation involves treating the soil as a living ecosystem. This means returning organic matter to the soil on a continual basis. Soil conservation can be compared to preventive maintenance on a car.

Soil loss and loss of soil fertility can be traced back to a number of causes including over-use, erosion, salinization and chemical contamination. Unsustainable subsistence farming and the slash and burn clearing methods used in some less developed regions, can often cause deforestation, loss of soil nutrients, erosion on a massive scale and sometimes even complete desertification.

Preventing Soil Erosion

Greenhouse Gases

Use It As An Energy Source

A greenhouse gas (sometimes abbreviated GHG) is a gas that absorbs and emits radiant energy within the thermal infrared range. Greenhouse gases cause the greenhouse effect[1] on planets. The primary greenhouse gases in Earth's atmosphere are water vapor (H2O), carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), nitrous oxide (N2O), and ozone (O3). Without greenhouse gases, the average temperature of Earth's surface would be about −18 °C (0 °F), rather than the present average of 15 °C (59 °F). The atmospheres of Venus, Mars and Titan also contain greenhouse gases.

Lowering Greenhouse Gas Emissions

At TJD Web Solutions we believe one of the best ways to lower greenhouse gas is to capture it and use it as energy. We are avidly seeking areas that are high in greenhouse gas emissions like pig and cattle farms so we can build a methane production facility. Other places such as landfills are good for producing and capturing methane.

Eco Systems

All Environments

An ecosystem is the interaction of plants, animals and small organisms in a certain environment. All three feed and procreate to keep the ecosystem alive. There are thousands of ecosystems of varying sizes on Earth. Due to global warming and pollution, many ecosystems are suffering. With changes to your everyday lifestyle, you can help protect the planet and its ecosystems.

A Short List Of Things You Can Do
  1. Reduce, reuse, and recycle. Cut down on what you throw away.
  2. Volunteer. Volunteer for cleanups in your community
  3. Educate.
  4. Conserve water.
  5. Choose sustainable.
  6. Shop wisely.
  7. Use long-lasting light bulbs.
  8. Plant a tree.

Organic Substitutes

Not Using Chemicals

Organics goes way beyond the produce we raise and consume.

It can include the nutrients or fertilizers we use, the vitamis we take, the household cleaners we utilize.

In an effort to be environmentally conscious everything we use in our daily lives could be organic but it takes a concerted effort to do that. As an example you would normally use a window cleaner from the store when you could use vinegar to clean your miirros and windows.Learn More>>>
